Labour Day, 2011
We Boilermakers believe that it is a natural right for workers to enjoy the products of their labour with their families. So enjoy your Labour Day long weekend with those you choose to enjoy it with. For the members of this union who are working or maybe traveling to a job for a Tuesday morning start, please be safe in work and travel.
Labour Day is the day that was set aside to honour and celebrate the worker's contribution to the nation's prosperity. We ask that you take some time this weekend to sit back and consider the contribution each one of us plays in our industries. It is the labour of each worker that leads to the success of our employer's and client's operations. It is the efforts of the members, who volunteer their time, that advances the Union, as a Steward in the work place, the Local Lodge Executive board or one of the local lodge committees. Thank you for what you do.
We wish you and your families a safe and happy Labour Day, we remain
Sincerely & fraternally,
Joseph Maloney International Vice-President, Western Canada |
Edward Power International Vice-President, Eastern Canada |
