Refurbish Work
Alex Lolua, General Manager of Electrical Power Systems Construction Association (EPSCA), reported that major refurbish work is to
begin this October with 4 units at Darling and starting in 2020 there will be 8 units at Bruce Power. There will be 1,000 Boilermakers employed at
peak times and EPSCA requests that the Boilermakers supply the required nuclear qualified workforce to complete the work. To learn more,

check tool for women). There are 18 questions that can give men a snap shot of their current and future health.
What you should know:
- It takes less than 10 minutes to see your next 10 years
- It's 100% anonymous and confidential

Fort McMurray Fundraising
The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers raised over $140,000 for the Canadian Red Cross to assist the good people of Fort McMurray due to the Wildfire
that destroyed over 1600 Buildings. IVP Maloney and the Construction Local Lodges combined efforts to raise the money.
Boilermaker National Training
There are two new programs that are under development - the Metal Fabricator Red Seal Assessment and Hydraulic Torqueing Program - both will be added to the
E-Learning page in the near future. Learn more about what is posted in the Boilermaker Virtual Campus by
logging into Members Only and clicking "E-learning" in the left-hand menu.
Reciprocal Pressure Tickets
Information on reciprocal pressure tickets between provinces was shared. Information like this will allow the local lodges to prepare their welder members
for travel card work. Learn more about welding ticket requirements across Canada by
clicking here.
The Local Lodges along with IVP Maloney agreed to continue such meetings on a regular basis to identify areas of our industry we need to focus on so mobility and employment opportunities are available to all members.
