Members Build on their Supervisory Leadership Skills

Forty-eight members from four Canadian locals have participated in Field Supervisor Leadership Training since this past December. The highly interactive program which promotes supervisory leadership best practices through case studies, group discussion, and hands-on practical exercises was led by Grant Jacobs, Director of National Training and Jonathan White, Assistant National Training Coordinator. With an industry-focused emphasis on people skills and communication techniques, the program develops the confidence and effectiveness of both novice and seasoned supervisors. Upon completion of the course, several participants expressed a newly found appreciation for the business aspects of construction and the expectations placed on a supervisor.
