2017 Boilermaker Scholarship Program

International President Jones has announced the 2017 Scholarship Program competition sponsored by the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. $12,000 has been designated to Canadian students who are a son, daughter, legally adopted child or dependent of a member in good standing. Applications will be accepted until March 1. Applications postmarked after March 1, 2017 cannot be considered.

The 350 minimum word typed essay topic is:

Discuss the potential impact of trade deals like CETA (Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement) signed in October 2016 and TP (trans-Pacific Partnership) which has yet to be ratified, on Boilermaker jobs in North America.

The scholarships are open to high school seniors who will be entering their first year of academic study at a degree-granting, accredited college or university within one year of their high school graduation.
