Decision of the ITUC to Suspend CLAC

The ITUC (International Trade Union Confederation) concludes that by its published policy and by its activity, CLAC (Christian Labour Association of Canada) indeed undermines labour conditions of workers and hinders in an active way the organising activities of CLC (Canadian Labour Congress) unions. The ITUC considers that CLAC acts against the interest of the ITUC and its other members in Canada.

On October 17th, the General Council of the ITUC decided to suspend CLAC Canada from the ITUC membership. CLAC members who are looking for a union that will represent their interest can contact the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers for information at comments@boilermaker.ca.
