Edward Power
International Vice-President, Eastern Canada

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Edward Power has been a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers since 1975. Ed started as an apprentice in Lodge 128 where he served as a Job Steward, Lodge President and Business Agent. In 1992, Ed was elected as Business Manager of Lodge 128 and served until 2003 when he was appointed as International Representative in Eastern Canada.

As an International Representative, Power was given the task to establish the Eastern Canada Tripartite initiative wherein the Union, contractors and the clients meet to discuss and work on issues that are facing the Boilermaker industry.

In 2006, Ed Power was elected as International Vice-President for Eastern Canada. Ed Power serves as a Table Officer of the Quality Control Council of Canada and is Co-Chair of the Boilermaker National Pension, Health and Welfare Funds (Canada). He is Chair of the Investment Committee as well as a member of the Steering Committee and Benefit Committee of the Pension, Health and Welfare Plans.
