Information for US Boilermaker Members

In order to dispatch US members interested in working in Canada, US members must register into the online Travel Card System. Brother Jim Beauchamp (jbeauchamp@boilermaker.ca) is available to provide information sessions to you at your local lodge. Contact your local business managers to arrange a meeting and we will provide you with the details and requirements needed to work in Canada.

Please be advised that the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) requires approved travel documents to enter Canada. These documents must be valid for at least one year from anticipated date of entry into Canada. To travel via airplane a passport is the ONLY acceptable travel document. If travelling by land (depending on the border crossing point) you will require a valid passport OR passport card OR enhanced drivers license OR enhanced ID card.

Effective January 1, 2012, US Members wishing to register on the online system OR US Members who have already registered and wish to post (or renew) on the Travel Card Pool will be required to provide information concerning their valid travel documentation. You must specify the type of travel document, the issuing country and the expiry date. There will be a 30 day grace period for all US Members currently registered on the Travel Card Pool.


Online Travel Card System Instructions

You must be a Boilermaker Member to access this area.

First Time Registration:

If this is the first time you are accessing the Online Travel Card system you must REGISTER your account. When you are on the login page, click "New User? Click here.".

You will:

  • require your Boilermaker registration number and your trade certifications to complete the registration process.
  • have to select at least one province that you are prepared to travel to. You may select additional provinces if you wish.
  • have to add yourself to the Travel Card Pool to ensure your name appears on the Travelers list. To do this you must answer "Yes" to the question, "Do you wish to add your name to the Travelers List?".

Note: User names and passwords are case sensitive. For security reasons, three incorrect attempts to log into your account will lock your account so make note of your user name/password for future reference. Click here to follow the registration wizard.

Returning Members:

If you have completed the registration process and have created a user name and password for yourself, you may Click here to login to the Members Only section. Updated information concerning the shutdowns will be posted on a regular basis and viewable ONLY through the Members Only section. Note: User names and passwords are case sensitive.
